There is one type of
car book value that is the Kelley Blue Book. Kelley blue book was published by Les Kelley in Los Angeles. Les Kelley decided to expand the list of automobile values he had been producing since 1918. He published the first
car book value called The Blue Book of Motor Car Values.
The book showed
factory list price and cash value on thousands of vehicles. Les named the publication Blue Book after the Social Register because it meant that you can find
valuable information inside. The blue book was named the blue book of social usage because Les Kelley was to make Kelley Blue Book similar with the authoritative source of car values. To this day many people ask the question “What’s the Blue Book value of my car?”
In 1918, a young Les Kelley started the Kelley Car Company from parking 3 models T Fords cars in an open parking lot. It was to become the largest dealership in the world and along the way spawn a need for placing values
on used and even new cars in the car book value, known as Blue Book values. Kelley Car Company was always known for innovation approaches to
selling cars.
In 1993 Kelley Blue Book made its initial venture into the consumer
marketplace by publishing a Consumer Edition of the Blue Book. It quickly became the nation’s number one selling automotive book. The book made the USA Today best seller list. The book fill with information about value of a 15 years old used car, more than 10,000
models of cars, trucks and vans.
You can get this car book value in bookstores, auto supply stores, and other locations. In 1995 The Company created a web site called kbb.com, offering the first
new car prices and a year later it’s famous for its
used car values. Early in 1996 about 20,000 people a month open this web site. That number has grown and exceeds seven million visitors a month cause of a large word of mouth.
